CHAINSAW STANDARDS EVENT

International chainsaw standards have been continuously developed since the successful Leonardo European funded project completion in 2011. Supported & launched by ABA International during 2012 the new & pioneering 1st European Chainsaw Certification (ECC/ICC) scheme and International on-line skills register were established. Successful European & International chainsaw operator skills continue to be registered on a regular basis along with qualified LOLER inspectors. The latest version of the chainsaw standards will be demonstrated & tested by vocational education & training experts at the next ABA International General Assembly. This will be hosted by the University of Copenhagen in Denmark 9-11th September and is open to all interested parties. More Information can be found here

ISAC-PRESIDENT & VP ELECTED

New President and VP

ABA International Standards & Accreditation Council (ISAC) during its recent standards development meetings unanimously supported the proposals for William Robb (UK) as President & Jens Hansen (Denmark) as Vice-President which were subsequently confirmed by election. Both are founding members & developers behind the European & International chainsaw certification project and are fully dedicated to the continued successful development of ABA INTERNATIONAL and its mission aims. New expert members have also been elected from Poland, Slovenia, Latvia & the UK, further enhancing the quality of the existing membership.
